Northwest Ohio Regional Vice-Chair Donovan O’Neil
Donovan O’Neil began his political career volunteering at the Trumbull County Bush/Chaney victory center in 2004. Donovan joined the YSU College Republicans in 2006 volunteering for state and local campaigns while promoting conservative issues across campus. From 2008-2010 he was Executive Director for the YSU CR’s – during which time they helped staff visits by Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain, Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin, Governor John Kasich, Senator Rob Portman, Congressman Bill Johnson, Frmr. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove.
In 2010 he helped revive the Mahoning County Young Republicans under the leadership of former YSU CR Chairman Jim Shaw. Since then he has worked in Ohio on grassroots and fundraising ranging from Municipal Court Judge through Ohio State House, State Senate and U.S. House of Representatives. He assisted with outreach in Mahoning and Trumbull Counties and served as Political Director of the Mahoning County Republican Party.
Currently Donovan serves as the NW Ohio Regional Liaison for Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost, promoting efficiencies in our state and local government. He resides in Perrysburg Ohio with his wife Michelle and their son Connor.
